We only process personal data insofar as this is necessary:- to provide a functional website,
- to handle purchases via Paddle,
- to communicate with users, or
- to fulfil legal obligations
The Redaxa app itself processes all content exclusively locally on the user’s device. There is no transmission of documents, texts or analysis results to our servers or to third-party providers.
3. Data processing when using the App (local)
3.1 No transmission of content data
The App operates entirely locally on the user’s device.Processed content such as:
- texts
- PDF documents
- Office files
- email content
- identified sensitive data
- rules, dictionary, exclusions
- redaction results
3.2 Licence verification
Depending on the type of licence, the App may, when it is activated or updated, transmit brief technical licence data to Paddle or Paddle’s licence server, for example:- email address (provided by Paddle)
- licence key
- activation status
- device limit check
4. Data processing on the Website
4.1 Server log files (hosting)
When you visit our Website, the following data is collected automatically:- IP address (shortened or temporarily complete, depending on the host)
- date and time of access
- browser type and version
- operating system
- referrer URL
- pages accessed
Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO
Log data is deleted automatically unless it is needed to investigate security-related incidents.
4.2 Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we store:- your email address
- your name (if provided)
- the content of your message
5. Use of Paddle (payment processing)
For purchase handling and subscriptions, we use the service:Paddle.com Market Ltd

Paddle is the “Merchant of Record”, i.e. Paddle is responsible for:
- payment processing
- invoicing
- tax calculation
- anti-fraud checks

Our website uses as few cookies as possible.If we use cookies, then exclusively:

Personal data is only disclosed:- to Paddle (see above),
- to technical service providers (hosting), but without passing on user data from the App,
- where we are legally obliged to do so (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Data is transferred to third countries only if required by Paddle and if appropriate safeguards are in place.
8. Storage periods
- App data: fully local, we store nothing
- Server log files: a few days to weeks
- E-mail contact: until the inquiry is resolved
- Purchase and billing data: in accordance with statutory tax retention requirements (6–10 years)
